“Gotu Kola regulates collagen production to help the aging skin retain elasticity. The compounds in Gotu Kola have been shown in studies to heal wounds, strengthen the skin and increase blood supply to the skin. Based on these findings, Gotu Kola has been used topically for minor burns, psoriasis, prevention of scar formation following surgery, and even prevention or reduction of stretch marks.
Comfrey has constituents that are suitable for the aging skin. It is mucilaginous – a property of many herbs which helps to moisturize the skin. Comfrey also stimulates the growth of new cells and tissue, giving the skin a more youthful appearance. This herb has traditionally been used in the treatment of scar prevention and wound healing.
